As with all Hobie products they are expensive but I expect them to last. I do look for non-Hobie products to save money when I can. I also find that any parts ordered through the dealer take weeks to arrive. Pretty annoying when they are so expensive and when they are not available on Amazon who deliver in 2 days typically. I have been waiting weeks to get my fish finder installed because Hobie are so slow.
Fits perfecly with my Hummingbird helix 7. It's really easy to adjust and the all aluminum construction seems rock solid. I expect to get many many years of use out if this product.
