Only folds One way.

The biggest problem I have is I have to mount it on the portside and the transducer will swing forward which I need it to swing backwards to remove it from the mount. And also doesn't lock any other position and only locks down but not up. The pole seems to be smaller than a hole on your trolling motor so you're not able to tighten the clamp. I ordered the longer Pole because I have a flat spot that's a little higher than most bass boats in the front so I needed the extra depth to get the transducer in the water but I still have to use the handle to get the length I need so the pole at the bottom is not long enough.Update: after messaging with the company I bought this from they have worked with me and are sending me a different one that will be longer so I can mount it so I it's supposed to work and they have been very very understanding and trying to make their products work for their customers so I'm changing my review to 5 stars. Update, got the new one with another arm attached and it's great.

I'll make it work.

I ordered this without knowing exactly how the transducer mount was set up, and when I got it, I figured out that I'm going to have to make a bracket to use with my transducer, as the way it came my transducer won't fit on it. This is totally not the fault of the mount, however, as my transducer is a bit of an "oddball". This mount will work for me eventually, but it'll take a little fabrication on my part to get everything set up. Overall, I like the mount and I'll definitely use it, but make sure your transducer will mount to it before you get it, so you don't have to go through a "make it work" process like I'm going to have to do. Overall, I recommend the mount because the overall quality of it seems very good.

Great concept but it's hard to turn.

Used for a live scope setup, but the down shaft doesn't turn easily. Probably will modify to make it easier for my application.

Solid Transducer Mount C Better Suited for My Jon Boat than Kayak

I originally picked this up for my kayak because I liked the concept of mounting my HDS to it. While it works, I still prefer my other kayak mount since that one lets me stow it in any direction, whereas this one only folds a single way and doesnt telescope. That makes it less ideal for the kayak, but I plan to move it over to my Jon boat where it will be a much better fit.The construction is solid with marine-grade powder-coated aluminum, and the included hardware, handle, and clamps are pretty decent quality. The locking mechanism works well, and the adjustability in depth and detection direction is useful. Its a bit on the pricey side, but for the build quality and compatibility with Lowrance, and other brands, make it an decent value.Overall, a well-made mount that just happens to fit my Jon boat setup better than my kayak.
